Johannesburg - It was a weekend of fun across the national and international entertainment industries with Joziwood celebrities chiming in on what their Hollywood contemporaries are pulling off for their Halloween.

According to History, Halloween is a secular holiday filled with a day of activities like trick-or-treating, carving jack-o-lanterns, festive gatherings, wearing costumes and eating treats.

South African celebrities came out to acknowledge the fun of dressing up as character villains, spooky mythical creatures or simply as their favourite childhood movie heroes.

Celebrity couple Gigi Lamayne and Sizwe "Reason" Alakine dressed up as the Joker and Harley Quinn as hosts at their Halloween soiree.

Actress Zola Nombona followed suit and dressed up as the joker himself. 

947's afternoon drive radio personalities Thando Thabethe and Msizi James dressed up as US based artists Rihanna and her beau ASAP Rocky.

Social media influencer Cyan Boujee came out and dressed up as Welsh actress Catherine Zeta-Jones.

Make-up artist and beauty influencer Mihlali Ndamase dressed up as Catwoman.

Another social media influencer who came out to play and dress up was Ntombi Mbele who portrayed US rapper Cardi B's latest album cover art.
